Camp Moran is a retreat center located within scenic Moran State Park on Orcas Island, Washington.

MMM revolves around the traditional lodge, where dining, activities, and many classes take place. A short walk through the orchard reveals Cascade Lake and the accompanying swimming and canoeing areas. Short hikes and nature trails are also located nearby, and easily reveal natural wonders such as ancient evergreens and beautiful Cascade Falls. This ideal natural setting has the potential to inspire both musical growth and a love of the outdoors.

Students with families share cabins equipped with bunks that sleep 5-8 people. Unaccompanied students aged 13-17 will reside in supervised boys’ or girls’ cabins. Duplex cabins have 14 bunks and a bathroom/shower. Other cabins sleep 10-12 at capacity and share a centrally-located public bathroom that was remodeled in 2007. Please note that the accommodations are quite rustic and simple. Guests need to bring their own bedding, towels, and toiletries.

MMM loves to tango. Not only has it become a tradition for the faculty to put up a Tango Tuesday evening concert; but last summer, students came up with no-less fabulous presentation. Halla, Chloe, Kevin and Grace were dead-pan cool and amazing – as usual.

Good times are guaranteed at the MMM camp. Not sure what to do when done practicing? Go for a hike or swim at the lake.

MMM at Camp Moran is the perfect place to combine play and work, parenting and being a kid on vacation. A little bit of violin practice in the forest can be easily toggled with kamikaze bike ride down the hill among the trees.

Group class every day, as well as master class, practice and an evening concert. The day is filled with music. And deer roaming about the campgrounds.
